Kent Flower Tour Mountain, Protea on Flower tour and Bird

4 DAY / 3 NIGHT GARDEN ROUTE TOUR

          

This tour starts in Cape Town and ends in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. Depending on the number op people in your party, we travel in either a sedan vehicle for up to 3 people plus the Tour guide or in a minibus which can accommodate 7 people plus the Tour Guide. Both are very reliable, spacious, comfortable and air-conditioned.

DAY 1

We depart Cape Town via the N1, over the spectacular Du Toits Kloof Mountain Pass into the Breede River Valley. At Worcester we link up with the very scenic Route 62, heading out to Barrydale where Guests can enjoy an optional light lunch at one of the restaurants found here. After lunch we head for Oudtshoorn, known as the Ostrich & Feather Capital of South Africa. Here we overnight in a superb Guest Lodge.

DAY 2

After breakfast we visit the incredible Cango Caves, taking time out experience the wonder of nature at work over millions of years. From here we proceed to a working Ostrich Farm where we will enjoy a most informative tour of the intricacies of Ostrich Husbandry, before making our way to George, via the Outeniqua Mountain Pass and on through the scenic Coastal reaches of the Garden Route, passing through villages such as Sedgefield and Knysna to Plettenberg Bay, where we stay over.

DAY 3

After an early breakfast, we commence our journey, via the N2 to Port Elizabeth, then the Addo Elephant Park, arriving there early afternoon. We will stop off en-route for an optional snack lunch. On our way to our overnight accommodation, we commence our first Game Drive, where we hope to spot a number of the Wild Animals, such as Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard and a host of other Animals. We overnight in the Game Reserve or in a Lodge adjoining the Park.

DAY 4

Following a very early Wake-Up, we head on a morning Game Drive in one of the Parks open game viewing vehicles, returning to the Lodge at about 11H00, in time to enjoy a tasty Brunch. We check out from our Lodge and return to Port Elizabeth for your return Flight to Cape Town.

The Tour Rate as quoted is inclusive of superb Bed & Breakfast Accommodation, Dinners where indicated, Air-conditioned Vehicle, Qualified Ranger/Tour Guide, all South African National Parks Conservation Fees, Entrances to all Game Reserves, all Game Drives and all activities per Itinerary.

Excluded are all Lunches and Dinners unless otherwise indicated, all liquid refreshments, any additional Entrance Fees or Activities, any items of a personal nature and any activities not forming part of the Itinerary.

Please note, the Itinerary may vary to accommodate your particular Interests, local weather conditions, road conditions or other factors beyond our control. The localities we will be visiting are well known for their varying weather conditions, going from very hot during the day to cool in the evenings, with possible rain. Don't forget a sunhat, comfortable walking shoes, your camera and binoculars. A Warm Windbreaker Jacket and Ear Warmer for the Open Game Drives are highly recommended.
