WILDERNESS SAFARIS

What could be more exciting than going on Safari and venturing out into the wilderness on trails less trodden? Imagine the exhilaration of travelling through new landscapes and absorbing new sights, sounds and smells as well as thrilling to the anticipation of viewing some of the world’s most awesome wildlife.

Ecotours SA offers you an exclusive and professional gateway to the African Bush and close and personal encounters with African Wildlife in comfort and safety. We operate Wildlife Safaris in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia and are your one-stop  facilitators who will make your dreams come true and ensure that all your memories are delightful ones.

Join us at a camp fire away from it all and relax around the warmth of the flames under the clearest canopy of sparkling stars whilst soaking up the night sounds of the bush; the distant roaring of lions; the yipping calls of jackals; the hysterical giggles of hyenas; the alarm barks of baboons; and the gentle rasping of a leopard on the prowl.

Spend your days on early morning or late afternoon game drives; hikes through the bushveld treading with care and the continuous anticipation of exhilarating encounters with a whole spectrum of wildlife; being poled along in a makoro dugout canoe through the waters of the Okavango Swamps, revelling in the plant and birdlife whilst carefully skirting hippos and crocodiles; or simply relaxing in the heat of the day watching animal antics and the drama of life around a waterhole.

Along the way you will come into contact with our people here in Southern Africa and we are certain that you will grow to know and like us as well as understand our incredibly diverse cultural backgrounds where we all come together in an unparalleled kaleidoscope of cultures, languages and traditions that are gradually being interwoven into the vibrantly colourful tapestry that characterises our region.

ADDO ELEPHANT PARK SAFARI

The Addo Elephant National Park is situated in the dense valley bushveld of the Sundays River Region of the Eastern Cape. The main attraction of the Park are the African elephants, but there are many other species represented such as the Cape buffalo, black rhino, but unlike the elephant, these species are more active and easier to see by night. The Park offers exciting night game drives and these are included in the Ecotours SA packages.

KGALAGADI TRANSFRONTIER PARK SAFARI

The Kalahari Gemsbok National Park was proclaimed in 1931 mainly to protect migratory game, especially the gemsbok. During the late 1990's it was combined with the adjacent Gemsbok National Park in Botswana to form the vast and awesome Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park - one of the first of its kind in the world and the first in Southern Africa. It covers an area of 3,6 million + hectares and is one of very few conservation areas of this immensity left in the world.
